How to Use Slow Motion on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Slow motion videos have recently become quite popular. This camera feature allows you to slow down the video that you’ve already captured or record a new one using the built-in slow motion option.

How to Use Slow Motion on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a nice 16-MP camera that lets you capture cool-looking slow motion videos. But before you start recording in slow motion, there are some adjustments that you need to make. Here is what you need to do:

1. Launch the Camera App

Go to your Home Screen and tap on the Camera app to access Live View.

2. Select Modes

In Live View, tap on Modes to access more options.

3. Select Settings

There is a small Settings icon on the top right section of the screen. Tap on that icon to enter all of the video settings on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

4. Select Video Quality

In Camera Settings, tap on Video Quality to access more options.

5. Select HD

To enable slow-motion recording, Video Quality needs to be set to HD. A pop-up window will appear after you select Video Quality. You need to tap on HD in the pop-up window to change the recording quality.

6. Go Back to Live View Window

Go back to the Camera Live View window and tap on modes again.

7. Select Slow-motion

Changing the video recording quality enables the Slow-motion option on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Tap on the Slow-motion icon to enter Live View.

8. Tap on the Record Button

To start recording, you need to tap on the Record button at the bottom of the screen. You can also use the white circle to adjust the focus. And there is an option to pause the recording to the left of the Record button.

When you’re done, tap on the Record button again to stop. The video will be immediately saved in Gallery. You can access the video by tapping on the circle to the left of the Record button.

Additional Slow Motion Video Options

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 allows you to take different actions after you’re done recording the slow-motion video. Once you open the video from the camera app or Gallery, these options will appear at the bottom of the screen. Let’s have a quick preview of these options.

Send

The Send icon is located on the bottom left of the screen. This option allows you to instantly send the video to the desired location or person.

Edit

If you wish to change the interval of your slow motion or trim the clip, tap on the Edit icon. You can easily get the desired length and interval by moving the sliders left or right.

Delete

If you are not happy with the slow-motion clip that you’ve just recorded, tap on Delete to discard it.

The Final Recording

Using the slow-motion option on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is quite simple and straightforward. First of all, make sure that the video quality is set to HD.
