How to Block an Artist in Tidal on the iPhone

You can use the Tidal app to mute/block an artist you don’t want to listen to. Keep in mind you can only block artists in “My mix” and Artist and Track radio playlists.

Once you block an artist, you can still search them, but their songs won’t appear in your playlists.

  1. Open the Tidal app.
  2. Tap “Explore.” It’s the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Search for the artist you wish to block.
  4. Tap “Artist radio” below the artist’s name.
  5. Search for a song by the artist you wish to block and tap the three dots next to it.
  6. Scroll down and tap “Block artist.”

If you’re listening to the “My mix” playlist and you come across an artist you don’t want to listen to, you can repeat the steps mentioned above to block them.

How to Block an Artist in Tidal on an Android Device

  1. Open the Tidal app.
  2. Tap “Explore.”
  3. Search for the artist you wish to block.
  4. Tap “Artist Radio” below the artist’s name.
  5. Look for a song by the artist and tap the three dots next to it.
  6. Scroll down and tap “Block artist.”

You can also block artists if you come across them on the “My mix” playlist.

  1. Visit https://listen.tidal.com/.
  2. Log in to your account.
  3. Search for the artist you wish to block. The search bar is at the top-right corner.
  4. Tap “Artist Radio.”
  5. Find a song by the selected artist and tap the icon with a circle and a slash. It’s the last icon in the row.
  6. Tap “Block artist.”

How to Block a Track in Tidal?

If you like an artist but don’t like one or more of their songs, you’ll be happy to know Tidal allows you to block only those particular tracks.

How to Block a Track in Tidal on an Android or iPhone

  1. Open the Tidal app.
  2. Search for the song you want to block.
  3. Tap the three dots next to it.
  4. Tap “Go to Track Radio.”
  5. Tap the three dots next to the track. It should be at the top of the list.
  6. Scroll down and tap “Block track.”

You can also block the artist from the same menu.

  1. Visit https://listen.tidal.com/.
  2. Search for the song you wish to block.
  3. Tap the three dots next to it.
  4. Tap “Go to Track Radio.”
  5. Tap the icon with a circle and a slash across it.
  6. Tap “Block track.”

If you’ve blocked an artist by accident or changed your mind, you can unblock them either through your phone app or the Web player.

1. Open the Tidal app.

2. Tap “My collection.”

3. Tap the gear icon at the top-right corner.

4. Under “My content,” tap “Blocked.”

5. You’ll see a list of blocked artists. Tap “Unblock” next to the ones you want to unblock.

1. Visit https://listen.tidal.com/.

2. Tap the three dots at the top-left corner.

3. Tap “Settings.”

4. Go to the “Streaming” tab.

5. Under “My content,” tap “Blocked.”

6. Go to the “Artists” tab.

7. Tap “Unblock” next to the artist you wish to unblock.
