The reason why you are not receiving calls to your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 can usually be found in your phone’s settings. Many users turn on one of the silent modes by accident which prevents them from receiving some or all of the incoming calls.

Luckily, these problems are very easy to solve. Let’s take a look at some of the most common ones and see how to resolve them.
Airplane Mode
If you turned on Airplane mode by mistake, you won’t be able to receive any calls on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. You can quickly solve it like this:
1. Hold Down the Power Button
Press and hold down the Power button until the menu with different actions appears.
2. Check the Airplane Mode
A white Airplane icon signals that airplane mode is on. You should tap on the icon to disable it.
Do Not Disturb Mode
Do Not Disturb is another silent mode that might be preventing incoming calls from getting through to you. You can easily switch it off from the Notifications Center. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Go to Your Home Screen
Swipe down from the top of your Home screen to bring down the Notifications Center.
2. Swipe Left
When you see the Notifications Center, swipe left to reach more options.
3. Turn off the Do Not Disturb Mode
Once you reach the menu with all the available options, swipe up to get to the Do Not Disturb icon. A white icon means that the mode is on. You should tap on the icon to disable it.
Diverted Calls
If you’ve enabled call forwarding, this will divert all the incoming calls to another number. To start receiving calls again you need to disable this option. These are the steps you need to take:
1. Launch the Phone App
After you’ve entered the Phone app, tap on the Menu button on the bottom left of the screen.
2. Select Settings
Tap on Settings in the pop-up menu to access all of your Call Settings.
3. Select Call-forwarding Settings
Tap on Reliance in the Call Forwarding menu to access the additional settings.
4. Turn Off All the Options
You should make sure that all of the call forwarding options are off or disabled. You can easily disable them by tapping on each individual option.
Check Your SIM Card
An issue with your SIM card might be the reason why you are not receiving any calls. This is why you should take out the card from your phone and check it for damages or flaws. It is advisable to remove any particles or dust from the SIM card with a dry cloth.
After you’ve finished the inspection and cleaning, put the card back in to see whether the problem has been solved.
Get in Touch with Your Carrier
You should contact your carrier if none of the steps above work. Your carrier could be having some network issues that cause problems with incoming calls.
The Final Call
You may need to do a hard reset on your phone in case none of the methods yield a solution to this problem. Also, you need to check whether some of the applications you’ve recently installed are preventing incoming calls from getting through.
If all else fails, it would be wise to take your phone to a service center.
