How To Add Roblox to Your Discord Status

Adding Roblox to your Discord status is a great way to pique your friends’ interest in a game and encourage them to try it out. You only need to set it up once, and the app will display your gaming status every time you play a game on Roblox.

To use this feature, you’ll need to download the desktop app for Discord. However, there are a few workarounds for the mobile and browser versions. Read on to learn about your options.

How to Add Roblox to a Discord Status

The Discord app automatically detects what you’re playing on the same device and adds the game to your library. To display your activity to other users, though, you need to enable this option in your settings.

Enable Current Activity

To make sure Roblox will show up as your Discord status, first, you need to allow Discord to display your current activity. Follow these steps on the desktop:

1. Open your Discord desktop app and log in.
   
2. Find your User Settings. It’s a gear icon at the bottom of your conversations tab.
   
3. Scroll down to “Activity Settings” section and click “Activity Privacy.”
   
4. Toggle the switch next to “Display current activity as a status message.”
   

Start a Game

Once your current activity is toggled on, you’ll need to open a Roblox game for the activity status to show up.

1. Go to the Roblox website and log in to your account.
   
2. Choose any game you want and hit the green play button to start.
   
3. Wait until the game loads, then minimize the window by pressing the “–” icon in the window’s top right corner.
   
4. Switch to your Discord window. You should be in your Activity Status settings.
   
5. Roblox will automatically show up in a green box on this page.
   

Other users will also see a status message that reads “Playing Roblox” under your name.

Add Roblox Manually

You can also manually add Roblox to your game list if Discord doesn’t recognize it automatically. Follow these steps:

1. Go to Roblox and press the green button in any game.
   
2. Minimize the window with the “–” button in the upper right corner of the window.
   
3. Open Discord and navigate to your User Settings by clicking the gear icon.
   
4. Click “Activity Status” under “Activity Settings.”
   
5. You’ll see the message “Not seeing your game? Add it!” Press “Add it.”
   
6. Click the “Select” bar. All your currently running applications will be listed here.
   
7. Roblox will automatically show up in a green box on this page.
   

Other Ways to Display Roblox as Your Status

The game you’re playing may not always show up as your Discord status. This feature is supported in Discord’s desktop app version, so you’re out of luck if you mainly use the browser app or your mobile phone. That said, you can use other methods to get the same status message across. Here are two ways to display Roblox—or any message you want—in your Discord activity status.

Set Custom Status

Discord may not register your gaming activity if you’re playing Roblox on your mobile phone. If you still want to display what you’re up to, you can simply change your status manually:

1. Open the iOS or Android app and tap the Profile tab in the bottom right corner.
   
2. Tap “Set status” and choose “Set a custom status” in the popup.
   
3. Type “Playing Roblox” in the field and set how long your status should remain active.
   
4. Hit “Save button” in the right corner, and you’re done.
   

Similarly, the current activity feature isn’t available in the browser app, but you can still change your status in the following way:

1. Open the browser app for Discord.
   
2. Click your profile icon in the bottom left corner.
   
3. Select “Set a custom status” and write “Playing Roblox” in the field.
   
4. Hit “Save button” in the right corner, and you’re done.
   

Change Now Playing Activity

You can manipulate your current activity in the desktop app in one more way. Follow these steps to edit your “Now Playing” status:

1. Open the Discord desktop app and click the gear icon.
   
2. Find “Activity Status.”
   
3. Click “Add it!”
   
4. Select the name of the app in the green box to edit it.
   

This is a great way to display any game as your Discord status, regardless of whether Discord recognizes it.

Let your friends know what you’re up to by sharing your activity status on Discord.
