How to Add Sauces on DoorDash Orders

DoorDash is an excellent delivery service that brings the entire restaurant experience to your home. You get an all-around customized order, suited to your taste and preference.

You can easily add sauces, drinks, and make other special requests using DoorDash. That said, how exactly you make these requests is a little unclear. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Keep reading for detailed instructions on adding sauces on DoorDash, placing an order, and much more.

How to Add Sauces

For those who only want to know how to add sauces on DoorDash, follow the instructions:

Launch the DoorDash app on your mobile device.
Open the menu of a restaurant where you want to order. Pick your desired items.
In the Preferences tab, there should be an Extra Instructions section, so tap on it.
Enter your special instructions here, i.e., describe which sauces you want, and how many of them.

That’s it. Your order should include the sauces you requested. Note that this may incur some additional costs, depending on the restaurant. Some outlets won’t even take special requests, so if you don’t get your sauces, don’t blame the DoorDash driver right away.

In the normal scheme of things, drivers are instructed to take care of all of your special requests and make sure they’re met. In case they simply forget something, you can reduce their tip, but if you cancel the order, you won’t get a refund. Canceling is quite simple, open the app, select the person icon, and choose Cancel Order.

You Can Add Other Things Too

Sauces are not the only thing you can add to your DoorDash order. You can ask for sides, drinks, extra utensils, bread, special seasoning, no seasoning, and even ask for the crusts to be removed from your sandwich.

Once again, some of these requests will cost extra, while other times, they won’t be fulfilled at all. If its restaurant policy, you can try your luck at a different establishment next time.

Regarding the bill, all extra charges will show on your DoorDash app, so you’ll know the final receipt for your order before it reaches you. As always, tipping is up to you, but if your order was respected, with the sauces and everything extra, it seems well-deserved.

DoorDash delivers food from many famous restaurants in the United States. If your restaurant choice might be limited depending on your location. If you live in a highly-populated urban area, you should have a wide selection to choose from.

The most popular restaurants on DoorDash are Chick-Fil-A, Wendy’s, Chipotle, Torchy’s Tacos, Buffalo Wild Wings, and The Cheesecake Factory. Maybe you don’t need sauces with cheesecake, but you’ll surely need them with chicken wings!

If you like spicy food, any type of chili sauce is a good choice. My personal favorite is a sweet chili sauce, whichever kind. It makes chicken wings so much tastier, with the honey and chilies making an excellent combination.
