Can I choose a custom color scheme for YouTube?

Yes and no. It all depends on which type of device you are using to watch YouTube videos. If you do it from a mobile device, whether Android or iOS, you will not be able to change anything. The reason is that the interface for mobile apps does not allow for any external add-ons to change it.

But when you watch YouTube on your computer, things are significantly different. Since you are using a web browser to access YouTube, there is a way to apply different color schemes to the site’s interface. Of course, this will also depend on the browser you are using.

If Google Chrome is your go-to browser, then changing YouTube’s color scheme will be simple. All you need to do is install one of the many available add-ons that allow you to do just that. To do so, follow the steps below.

  1. Step 1

Open the Chrome browser on your computer.
  2. Step 2

Click the Extensions option from the menu at the top of the page.
  3. Step 3

    Click Manage Extensions.
  4. Step 4

    Click Open Chrome Web Store.
  5. Step 5

Click the ‘Search the store box.’
  6. Step 6

Type in color changer youtube and hit Enter.
  7. Step 7

Depending on availability, there could be several options to choose from. If you are not sure which extension to go with, simply choose the one that has the most downloads and a solid average rating. When you decide, click the extension you chose. The extension’s page will open and all you have to do is click the Add to Chrome button.

Once you have installed the extension, it is time to play with the options and customize the look for your YouTube experience.
