Wildly popular, Candy Crush is one of the most famous mobile games ever launched. The game is immensely successful and profitable, supplying gamers with a great time waster wherever they are. There are thousands of levels for you to crush and countless rewards and gold bars to collect. But what to do when you buy a new phone?

Luckily, saving your progress and continuing on the new phone is very simple. Let’s take a look at how to transfer your save data to your new device.

Via Facebook and Kingdom

Along with your level progress, all your gold bars should be transferred to your new phone. They are regularly synched with the game servers and are available across your devices. If you don’t see your gold bars on the new phone, be sure to contact the developer here.

This method does not allow you to transfer your extra moves, extra lives, and boosters to your new devices because they are not synced with the game servers. Instead, they are stored locally on your phone. If you still have access to the old phone, you can play Candy Crush on it and use up all the saved boosters and extra moves.

What Happens When You Get a New Facebook Account?

The more common way of saving mobile game progress is using your Facebook account. It’s the most simple way to save progress because all you need to do is sign in to your existing Facebook account and allow Candy Crush access. If you’ve changed your Facebook account, or you no longer have it, all hope isn’t lost.

Fortunately, the Candy Crush support team can add your progress back manually according to All you need to do is fill out the help form to begin the process. For those who are thinking about deleting your account, it’s probably a good idea to take some screenshots of your game progress to use as proof just in case there’s a dispute.

  1. Open Candy Crush and login with your new Facebook account or King account.
  2. Tap the settings cog in the lower left-hand corner.
  3. Tap the ‘?’ located in the lower portion of the pop-up menu.
  4. Choose a topic or type one in the search bar.
  5. Proceed to send an email to Candy Crush Support.

Assuming you still have some information about your old account it shouldn’t be an issue to get your progress back but it may take some time.

Where did you find the zip file and/or what was the name of it? Thanks

My wife got a new phone and wanted to move candy crush i thought i could copy the file and move it to the new phone so she could keep her boosters and progress. Turns out after doing some digging Candy Crush hates its users they say data is saved on phone but using file exploerer and some brain power I found that the game is saved on the phone as a hidden zip file and the zip file is really bluestacks. So the game is putting bluestacks on your phone and then opening itself and saving itself inside a bluestacks fake phone it creates on your phone. This is also why people have so many problems when trying to move there data even if they save using facebook or email. So if some genius can pick up where i left off find away to view this file and move it to a new device. Unfortuntley i was able to view the files and copy the files but I am not able to paste files in that compressed file. But i will do some tweeks to see what i can do. Candy Crush will not beat me if my wife wants her progess she is getting her progress and her boosters

I’ve used the helium method several times in the past. However, I got a new phone tonight, and now I get a message that the developers of Candy Crush have disallowed backups. I have TONS of power-ups, not to mention almost 1,000 lives saved up from friends. Any other ideas??? I’d really, r e a l l y appreciate any help.
Scott J Rohleder says:
Wow, I don’t have that many lives / boosters but am in the same boat. Just got new phone, used Helium before, saw same message. I just finished connecting to old phone and browsing through file system, nothing. Tried using a few boosters, thinking a file would be updated and I would see it, maybe I missed it – nothing. They must be storing those things in memory somehow, which sucks and has to be on purpose. Would be a simple thing to store it in a way that Facebook or King would have a record of it and transfer when you get a new device.

If you find a way to transfer, post back here so we can find a solution.
