Error Messages on Video Playback

  • Firewall or ad blocker restrictions often result in an error code 4201 or 1200.
  • For codes 6040 or 6100, restart your Wi-Fi connection and then relaunch the app.
  • Code 114 may be caused by a VPN that is not supported, an ad blocker enabled, or location services not turned on.

Live Streaming

Watching live content on Paramount+ requires GPS and location services to be turned on.

  • Chrome: from your browser window, go to settings > privacy and security> site settings > location
  • Firefox: click the globe icon to the left of the address bar. Go to more information>permissions>access your location

Streaming of your local CBS station is only available on the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan. Paramount Essentials does not include access to your local station.
