Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro – Forgot PIN Password – What to Do

The Galaxy J7 Pro’s fingerprint scanner is integrated with the Home button in the front. In order to use this functionality, you have to activate it and scan your fingerprint.

Samsung Find My Mobile

Samsung Find My Mobile is the best way to unlock your Galaxy J7 Pro. However, in order to be able to use this method, there are prerequisites you must fulfill:

1. You have an active Samsung account on your phone.
2. Remote Controls on your phone are turned on.
3. Google Location Service and Send Last Location are enabled on your phone.
4. You know your Samsung account credentials.
5. You have access to a device, such as a computer, through which you can access your Samsung account.

With that out of the way, let’s see how to unlock your phone with Samsung Find My Mobile.

1. Open the browser on the support device and go to Find My Mobile’s official page.
2. Click or tap the “Sign In” button.
3. Enter your credentials and tap/click “Sign In”.
4. You will see the map of your phone’s approximate location. Device info will be displayed on the left, while the actions you can take are on the right side of the map.
5. Click or tap the “Unlock” icon.
6. Enter your Samsung account password.
7. Confirm.
8. Your phone should be unlocked and all password/PIN/unlock pattern data erased.
9. Once the phone unlocks, proceed to the Settings and reset the password.

Hard Reset

If you’ve forgotten your password and you can’t access the Find My Mobile site for whatever reason, you can always go the hard reset route.

1. Press and hold down the Power key for a few seconds.
2. Next, press and hold the Home button, Volume Up, and Power button simultaneously.
3. Release the buttons when you see the Samsung logo appear on the screen.
4. Now, select the “wipe data/factory reset” option from the menu. Use the Volume buttons to navigate up and down the menu.
5. Confirm your choice by pressing the Power button.
6. After that, choose the “Yes – – delete all user data”.
7. Press the Power button to confirm your choice.
8. When your Galaxy J7 Pro is done formatting, it will display the Recovery Mode menu. Choose the “reboot system now” option.
9. Confirm your choice by pressing the Power button.
10. Once the phone boots, proceed to the Settings and create a new password.

Bear in mind that, along with the password/PIN settings, all your images, recordings, and other data will be permanently lost, along with every non-essential app.
