Few TV tuners are as portable as this. It’s around the same size as a USB flash drive, can pick up both analogue and digital Freeview TV, and has an FM radio receiver thrown in as a useful bonus. The picture quality is extremely good, with crystal clear reception in the PC Pro office – even with the tiny aerial included in the box. The downside is that the interface is far from the most polished or intuitive we’ve seen, and the infrared remote won’t work if the receiver is plugged in at the back of a computer. Of course if, like most people, you plan to control it with Windows Media Centre, neither of these problems matter one bit.
