How to Find Your DoorDash Referral Code
DoorDash often hosts various promotions and discounts, and it has a referral system. If you are looking for this info, you’re most likely a customer, but you may be a Dasher as well.
In either case, we will help you find your DoorDash referral codes. Indeed, customers are not the only ones who can invite their friends to use DoorDash. While they get referral coupons which they can apply to their orders, Dashers get referral bonuses. Stay with us and learn how to reap the DoorDash referral benefits.
If You Are a Customer
The DoorDash app might confuse you if you are a new user, and it is justified because there are two sets of apps for Android and iOS devices. As a customer, you need to get the Food Delivery app. Here is a link for Android users and one for Apple users.
Follow these steps to find your DoorDash referral code:
- Launch the app on your tablet or phone.
- Select the Account option.
- Then, tap on Refer Friends, Get $.
- You’ll land on your DD referral page. Here, you can see your referral code. You can share it via social media outlets, SMS, or email. Choose the option you like and start sharing your code right away.
On this page, you can also see your current and previous DoorDash referral coupons (if someone ordered with your link) and invitations.
If You Are a Driver
DoorDash drivers have a different app to themselves. They use the DoorDash Driver app, available for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
Here’s how to refer your friends to become Dashers:
- Launch the Driver app on your mobile device.
- Then, press Dash from the Home menu.
- Select the Refer Friends option.
- This page will show you the basic Dasher referral info (how big of a bonus you and the invitee can get). Choose Invites.
- You can send your Dasher referral code via email, SMS, Twitter, or Facebook.
Referral Incentives for Customers
DoorDash customers get a referral coupon every time someone completes an order with their referral code. However, their order needs to qualify with the DoorDash referral program. At the moment, qualifying orders are for purchases of $12 or higher.
You can’t get an infinite number of referral coupons, though. Right now, the cap is 25, meaning that you won’t get additional referral coupons after that. Note that your friend needs to use your code for their first DoorDash order. If they ordered through the app before, their purchase wouldn’t qualify for your coupon.
You’ll get the referral coupon within 24 hours of an eligible order. You can use it right away, and it will apply to your following order automatically. The maximum discount you can get with the referral coupon is $15.
Feel free to send your referral code to as many people you want, as long as you’re not posting them on commercial sites such as eBay.
Referral Incentives for Drivers
While DoorDash customers get referral coupons, Dashers get bonuses. On top of that, the person who they referred also gets one. It’s a win-win situation, so if you want to become a Dasher, definitely use a referral link to sign up.
The rules are simple. The person who you refer to needs to make the required amount of deliveries within their first month of driving. We can’t tell you the exact number of minimum deliveries, because it varies from city to city.
The bonus amount also isn’t fixed. Some Dashers claim that they got a big, $750 bonus, while most get around $300. In either case, referring drivers seems worth it for both parties. Furthermore, the incentive is even more motivating than the one for customer referrals.
DoorDash operates in many major U.S. cities and some cities in Canada. Check their website to see if you can Dash in your area. Make sure to use a referral link to sign up if you’re new.
Easy as a Pie
Finding and sharing your DoorDash referral code is a walk in the park. Make sure to use it no matter if you’re a customer or a driver, the benefit is just too good for passing. Drivers have it a little better, but it takes more effort to make deliveries than to place orders on the app.
