How to Get the Devil’s Cap in Lords Mobile

There’s no avoiding your Leader getting captured when you play Lords Mobile long enough. Everyone slips up eventually, and the enemy player captures your Leader, crippling your Kingdom. Should the worst happen, how do you get your Leader back?

How to Get the Devil’s Cap in Lords Mobile

There are a few ways to get your Leader back, ranging from paying exorbitant ransoms to attacking the other Kingdom. However, the most efficient method is using a Devil’s Cap. Devil’s Caps are hard to obtain, but you can quickly respawn your Leader if you do have one.

How to Get the Devil’s Cap in Lords Mobile

While it sounds easy to use a Devil’s Cap, getting one is the most challenging part of the process. There are two main ways to get a Devil’s Cap. The easiest way is to spend some money to buy one from the Lords Mobile Store.

Bundles are the fastest and easiest way if you’re willing to shell out a few dollars for them. Otherwise, the second method is to go to the Bargain Store. The Bargain Store sells items that are usually in bundles players pay money to buy.

The Devil’s Cap Bundle contains three items:

  • 1,200 Gems
  • Five 60 Minute Speed Ups
  • A single Devil’s Cap

You may ask yourself why it takes so much to acquire one, but the answer is that the Bundle itself only graces the Lords Mobile Store with its presence once every few weeks. You may have the money ready, but if it’s not in the Store, you’ll have to keep waiting.

In the Bargain Store, the game sells items in exchange for Gems, one of the currencies players can earn for free. A single Devil’s Cap sells for 8,800 Gems in the Bargain Store.

The problem with relying on the Bargain Store is that while you can buy it with Gems, it rarely ever shows up. If the Bargain Store appears, you also have limited time to get the Devil’s Caps. That is if they’re selling them when you’re ready to buy.

If you’re a free-to-play (FTP) Lord Mobile player, it’s possible to get a Devil’s Cap. You only have to wait for it to show up in the Bargain Store.

Devil’s Cap Requirements

There are a few requirements to fulfill if you want to use a Devil’s Cap on your Leader to speed up the respawn time. Don’t use your precious Devil’s Cap right after your Leader gets captured, as it will only be a waste. The requirements are essential to ensure a respawn. These requirements include:

  • Your Leader gets captured.
  • Your Castle Level is 17 and above.
  • You have at least 24 hours before your Leader gets executed.

Some players would rather wait until the enemy player executes their Leader. But serious players understand that getting their Leaders back as soon as possible is essential to maintaining their Kingdoms.

Once you use a Devil’s Cap, you only need to wait for 24 hours before your Leader respawns and leaves the Prison. Compared to waiting days for enemies to execute a Leader, you might start feeling why using a Devil’s Cap is such a good idea.

Do I Use My Devil’s Cap?

Precious items like the Devil’s Cap are very hard to come by. If you manage to find a way to conserve them, then you should try your very best to avoid using the poisonous mushroom. Usually, it’s better to watch your enemy’s actions and then plan for the next move.

Most players tend to go on killing sprees and capture many Leaders. Then, they’ll likely use their time for other affairs in the game. Using the Devil’s Cap now may be a waste when you could get your Leader back for free.

What Should I Do Then?

First, you wait just like we discussed above. What happens to the player who captured your Leader later will inform you of your next decision? When it’s clear that your Leader isn’t getting executed right away, you have a few choices to pick.

  • Send your captor a message

Begging for your Leader back can work, especially if the captor is a nice person. Of course, there’s a chance you’ll encounter a cold captor who doesn’t care and wants to execute your Leader.

In this case, you can still hold off from using your Devil’s Cap. There are other ways to get your Leader back without using it.

  • Ask your Guild for help

If you’re a solo player, this method might convince you to join a Guild finally. Guilds can start rallies on other players, and if your rally does succeed, you get your Leader back for free. It would be best if you asked your strongest Guild member to lead the others in the rally.

Since you just lost your Leader, you won’t have your troops as well, so you’re better off asking the Guild members to help get your Leader back.

Many players aren’t strong enough to withstand a rally attack unless they happen to be some of the best in the game. They wouldn’t want to incur heavy losses to their army, as it would set them back immensely. In this case, many of them may prefer to release your captive Leader to stay alive.

If the enemy doesn’t budge, feel free to ask your Guild to carry on with the rally. Once the Guild takes down the enemy player’s walls, getting your Leader back is simple.

  • Pay the ransom

Your Leader’s captors can set an amount of Gold as ransom. If you pay, your Leader will return to you from the Prison. Those part of a Guild may not be able to use this method, though, as some Guilds are non-ransom-paying people.

Other Guilds don’t have a stance on paying ransoms. Make sure you check with your Guild first before paying the ransom. They’re more likely to agree to start a rally than letting you pay the ransom. Why not get your Leader back for free instead of paying large sums of money?

Paying a ransom for the Leader can set you back financially. Your Guild might take a hit, too, when other Kingdoms notice what happened. That’s why if you can avoid paying the ransom, you should use another method.

  • Set a Bounty

If you set a Bounty on your Leader’s captor, other players have an incentive to help free your Leader. Bounties can’t be refunded once claimed, though if the player fails, you don’t reward them either. In any case, you have to be able to afford the Bounty in the first place.

Alternatives to Using a Devil’s Cap

All hope is not lost if you don’t want to wait for execution. Here are some ways to save your Devil’s Caps and still get your Leader back.

Huey Hops

There’s an alternative to using Devil’s Caps to get your Leader back in the form of a Familiar. This Familiar is Huey Hops, and Guilds can summon it during Guild Bash events. Once you max Huey Hops out, you can help your Leader escape from Prison.

The downside is that Huey Hops can only help Leaders escape when you activate the Rascally Rabbit skill. This skill lasts 30 minutes, and your Leader can only escape once.

Activating the skill also requires Skillstones, which take a lot of resources and time to make. In addition, your Guild has to max out Huey Hops for Rascally Rabbit to unlock. This process can take even more time and resources.

Even so, if your Guild manages to complete the long grind of maxing Huey Hops out, members’ Leaders will find it easier to have their Leaders stay safe. It’s not a foolproof method, but it does guarantee your Leader’s safety for the 30 minutes it’s active.

Sheltering and Shielding

Both Shelters and Shields can prevent your Leader from being captured. Any troops within Shelters are protected from attacks. Shields protect your Leader as well, though not against Familiar attacks.

When activated, either item protects your Leader, and they won’t be able to be captured. Preventing captures in the first place will help you save a lot of time and money. You can also rest easy as you play the game.

Using a Revival Fruit

After a Leader gets executed or eats a Devil’s Cap, you have to revive them from the dead. This is where Revival Fruits come in. They cost 1,000 Gems or 60,000 Guild Coins, and you can also get them from events.

We recommend stocking up on Revival Fruits so that you can get your Leaders back in battle sooner.

Players That Need More Devil’s Caps

Average players only need one Devil’s Cap to kill their Leader, but the 1st in the Kingdom will require 20 of them. Players that are 50th and above will need to use more Devil’s Caps, starting from two of them.

If you’re not that powerful, you can rejoice when you manage to score a single Devil’s Cap because you’ll be able to release your Leader that much faster. For those who are ranked higher, you’ll need to stock up if you plan on using them to release your Leader.
