How to Play Among Us Online With Friends?

While you’re setting up the lobby, you can also mess around with the settings. You can tweak the length of Discussion Time, how fast Crewmates and Impostors run, how long Voting Time lasts, and more. Custom matches like this allow you to enjoy some rather bizarre games.

There are also options to change tasks, sabotages, and more. It’s even possible to reduce the Impostor’s killing cooldown time. This means that Impostors can kill Crewmates much quicker than normal.

Thankfully, you can’t do this in public lobbies. Otherwise, the other players won’t be expecting anything.

How to Play Among Us on a LAN With Friends?

There is a local multiplayer mode for friends who are gathered together. This method will require everyone to be on the same WiFi network.

Here are the steps for local multiplayer:

Make sure everyone is connected to the same network.
Launch Among Us.
From the main menu, select “Local.”
Select “Create Game” after “Host.”
Wait for all your friends to join when they select “Available Games.”
Start the game.

Keep in mind that there are times when servers are overloaded. You may get an error message such as “Game Not Found.” This can occur if the host gives you the wrong code.

If that’s the case, simply ask the host for the code and try again. If the problem persists, you can consider sending the developers a message.

How to Invite Friends to an Among Us Online Game With Randoms?

While you can easily host a private game with your friends, did you know that you can also open it up to the public at any time? Yes, it’s possible to have a mix of friends and random players in your lobby. Let’s take a look at how this is done:

Launch Among Us.
From the main menu, select “Online.”
Enter your name in the empty field.
From there, you can select “Host.”
