To sync your phone with your PC, you can use a mirroring app such as SideSync. Unfortunately, there are apps that SideSync is incompatible with, such as Netflix.

But in most cases, streaming your J2 is a simple affair. Simply download SideSync on both your PC and your smartphone. As long as both devices are using the same Wi-Fi, you can set up a connection between the two devices.

AllCast

AllCast is an app that allows you to stream a live screen capture of your phone through an adapter. The app is compatible with Chromecast, Xbox, and Roku. The cool thing about it is that you can use it for free.

A paid version is also available. This one has more features but it doesn’t improve the responsiveness or the signal. It’s only worth investing in this if you want stream more files at once or play with the resolution and stream quality.

How to make it work:

Connect and enable the Chromecast adapter on your Smart TV
Switch on your Galaxy J2 and go to Apps on your Home Screen
Browse through the list until you find AllCast
Tap the icon to open the app
Choose the appropriate receiver device from the list – in this case, Chromecast

Once you select the device, a menu will appear. From there, you can choose to stream pictures from your gallery, videos, or audio files. You cannot stream a live screen capture when you’re just browsing through the app menu as you would do on a newer Samsung smartphone.

In theory, the Galaxy J2 should work without a Chromecast if you’re trying to stream on a Samsung Smart TV. However, because the J2 runs on an old OS, the Lollipop 5.0, many users complain that the signal strength is poor and no connection can be established.

Using something like a Chromecast or Roku adapter is the best solution. These are affordable devices that also offer plenty of other benefits to a smart TV owner.

The Galaxy J2 is fully capable of streaming FHD videos to your TV. It may take you a while to get there since the device lacks a built-in mirrorcast feature but it’s not impossible.
