Microsoft has made AI a big part of Windows 11, and it seems that role only gets bigger with every update. There’s a lot that’s here and a lot more to come, and in this article, we’re going to be looking at Windows 11 with AI and what Microsoft is bringing (and has already brought) to the OS.
Windows 11 With AI – The Latest Features

AI tools in Windows are already numerous. Copilot is everywhere, ready to assist in everything from Edge to Microsoft Office. There are predictive text, automated scheduling, and enhanced security. Smarter widgets selectively display info as you need, and AI is even with you when you game, automatically improving audio and video.
That said, Microsoft isn’t letting things rest there and is introducing even more features:
Talk to Your Computer More
As of writing this article, one of the biggest AI features to be introduced is the voice input for Copilot. Much as you can with Siri for Apple or Alexa for Amazon, the “Hey Copilot” feature is here to streamline user interaction with your PC, making hands-free interaction and task automation a breeze. This is an opt-in service, considering the access it needs to your voice.
It’s likely this will continue to be refined in future updates.
Copilot Vision
You’re used to looking at your screen, but now it seems that Copilot is doing the same thing. Copilot Vision (present as a spectacle icon), located next to the voice input icon, scans your desktop in real time, summarizes, answers questions, describes, and searches. It also offers you guidance in its workflow.
The technology isn’t perfect yet, and Microsoft still promises to bring out further refinements, but this opt-in feature is quite impressive in its ambitions.
Click to Do
Microsoft started rolling out this feature in May 2025, and we are finally starting to see it in action. Essentially, Click to Do is a feature that allows users to perform tasks quickly, in the moment, with a handy context-aware menu. The feature takes a snap of your screen, and you can choose what you need done with it, be it rewriting, explaining, or organizing things in a different way.
For photos, it can help do basic touchups, and blur or remove backgrounds.
Explorer’s AI Actions
The search bar used to do a lot of the heavy lifting in Explorer when it came to finding and sorting things, but now AI is helping pick up the slack. While this feature is a work in progress, with more actions likely to be added in the future, users can do a lot in Explorer.
This includes AI Actions appearing in the context when right-clicking a file (e.g., visual searches, blurring backgrounds, etc.). In addition, users can still ask Copilot in-app for help or advice.
Windows Recall
This feature keeps tabs on what you’ve been up to on your PC and allows you to access information or execute past tasks based on what it remembers. Better than Task View in Windows 10, it allows you to search through this activity history using natural text input, making your workflow that much more natural.
This has naturally raised concerns about user privacy, so Microsoft is taking steps (and probably will into the future) to curb Recall’s memory, not to mention improve its understanding of your data.
