How to View My DoorDash Earnings

DoorDash drivers have a nickname – Dashers. You don’t need much to become one. You need to have a driver’s license, a smartphone, and access to a vehicle. Even a bike will do in some areas!

As a Dasher, you get to pick your working hours, so many drivers use this as a part-time gig to make extra money. If you’re an active Dasher, it may not always be easy to keep track of your deliveries, especially during peak hours.

Where can you check your earnings? Read on to find out.

Keeping Track of Your Earnings

When you become a Dasher, you get a DoorDash account. Through the DoorDash Driver app, you accept or decline orders, communicate with customers, and more. You also have a way to keep track of your earnings. Here’s how.

1. Open the Driver app on your smartphone.
2. Find the Earnings tab and tap to open it.
3. Tap on a specific week to see how much you’ve earned.
4. If you want to see earnings for individual Dashes, tap on any Dash within the week.

Here you can check the base pay, the tips, and all the other types of DoorDash payments. When you accept a delivery, you won’t be able to see the tip if the customer decided not to add it at the checkout. However, the customer may add it after you complete the delivery. In that case, you’ll get a notification so you won’t miss any tips.

The Earnings tab allows you to see other relevant info, such as graphs showing your weekly and monthly earnings, as well as your daily status. You can also update your bank account info when necessary, and check for how many hours you’ve been active.

As a Dasher, you will receive weekly payments for deliveries made Monday through Sunday. On each Monday, you will receive an email with all your earnings summarized, and you can expect to see the money on your bank account by Wednesday evening.

What If You Notice a Mistake in Your Summary?

If you think there’s a mistake in your summary or you haven’t received your weekly payment at all, you can contact Dasher support and ask them to review your account. However, before you do that, DoorDash suggests you do the following.

Log in to your Dasher app and check if you’ve entered all your bank account details correctly. Make sure you haven’t accidentally entered your savings account number and see if the routing and account numbers are accurate.

If you’ve made sure all the information is correct, go to the Help Center page and submit a request for a payment review. Make sure you choose Payments from the contact form categories.

You can also contact DoorDash support if you believe someone has hacked into your account, but in this case, you must change your password as soon as possible. Contact the help center if your money has been transferred to a wrong account, too. If you change your bank account, you don’t need to notify the support, just update the info within the app.

Dasher support representatives will review your earnings upon your request. If there’s been a mistake, DoorDash will forward the missing sum to your account.

What Is Fast Pay?

Fast Pay means you can collect your earnings daily and not weekly. For this service, you need to pay a $1.99 fee and have a debit card.

Not every Dasher qualifies for this program. You need to make deliveries for at least two weeks and complete at least 25 of them to be able to set up this option.

You can sign up for this service by opening the Earnings tab within your Dasher app and tap the Set Up Fast Pay button. Make sure that Direct Deposit is connected to your bank account and tap Set up Fast Pay again to confirm.

In approximately seven days, you’ll get a notification informing you that you can now use this service and transfer your earnings in a few minutes. When the funds appear on your bank account depends on your bank. You can cash out once a day, at any time.

What Is Peak Pay?

DoorDash offers many incentives and challenges that allow Dashers to make more money. At specific times of the day, when there are more deliveries, DoorDash needs more drivers on the streets. You can earn a couple of extra dollars for every dash during peak hours. After you complete a delivery, you will be able to see the peak pay added to your base pay and the tip in the Earnings tab.

What Are Dasher Challenges?

Challenges are another type of incentives that may motivate you to work more, or at least organize your working hours better. If you complete a specific number of deliveries in a particular amount of time, you can earn some extra cash.

You can see available challenges in your Driver app. When there’s a challenge available in your area, you can automatically participate – you don’t need to enroll or anything. Just check the challenge details and track your progress through the app.

Dashing can be an excellent side-gig for those who need extra cash. Probably the best thing about it is that you can organize your time as you see fit. Also, the Driver app is pretty transparent, so you can easily track your earnings and know how much money you can count on at all times.
