How to Return Multiple Amazon Items

Amazon sells millions of products, so it’s natural that you might experience disappointment with a purchase sometimes. Thus, you might want to return some products if they arrive too late, have defects, or don’t work properly, or if you’re simply unhappy with the items. Fortunately, there’s a way to return multiple products at once instead of returning each item individually.

How to Return Multiple Amazon Items

Returning Multiple Items on Amazon

If you purchased a few items at once and aren’t happy with them, you can return all of them at the same time via an Amazon drop-off location.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to the Amazon app.
  2. Click the person (silhouette) icon at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Tap on Your Orders at the top of the screen.
  4. All your recently ordered items will appear. Scroll through the list and choose an item to return.
  5. Select Return or Replace Items.
  6. Choose a reason for the return.
  7. Tap on Add More Items to This Return.
  8. Click on See More where you’ll be able to view your recent orders and select more items to return.
  9. Tap on the box next to the items you want to return.
  10. Select Done.
  11. Choose a reason for returning each item and Click Continue.
  12. You’ll be asked how you’d like a refund, either added to your Amazon account balance or returned to your original payment method. Choose the appropriate item for how you want each item refunded.
  13. You’ll then be asked how you’d like to return your items, You can separate the items into two shipments. Choose a location convenient to drop off both shipments.
  14.  At the bottom of your screen, you’ll see the refund amount for both shipments. Click Confirm Your Return.
  15. Another window will open informing you that you’ll be emailed the QR code for each shipment, along with instructions. Click on the code (there’ll be separate ones for each package).
  16. Take the relevant items to the Amazon drop-off location.
  17. Scan the QR codes, then give the attendant the related packages. For example, scan the QR code for package 1 and give them those items, and then scan the QR Code for package 2 and give them those items.
  18. You’ll receive a receipt. Keep it safe in case your return gets lost in transit back to the Amazon warehouse.

When returning multiple items, you will get two packages based on the number of items you are returning. Both packages one and two will contain multiple items and you can select separate return locations for each package. Additionally, it’s important to ensure that all the listed items are in the correct package. For example, don’t scan all items and place them in one package if you have QR codes for two packages.

It’s also important to remember that some return items don’t need to be packaged or labeled. You can simply take the relevant items to the appropriate Amazon drop-off, scan your QR code, and show the attendant the returned items. When returning electronic devices, make sure that your personal information is erased from the devices.

Returning Items Purchased From Amazon Global Store

For any returns to the Amazon Global Store, you’ll receive a pre-paid UPS return label, allowing you to return any items to the UPS drop-off location that’s most appropriate for you. Unfortunately, if a Global Store isn’t available for a pre-paid return, you’ll have to return your item at your own cost. You can do this via a trackable system at any carrier you choose.

Amazon automatically refunds at least $20 for any return postage expenses on receipt of returned objects. If this expense exceeds $20, contact Amazon customer service for a full refund regarding the remaining expense amount. If the item returned is damaged, flawed, or incorrect, you’ll receive a refund of the entire postage expense, including the import fees deposit after the return has been processed.

It’s important to note that the time it takes for a returned item to reach Amazon is around 25 days. Thereafter, two working days are required for the processing of the refund, and the refund amount takes at least three to five working days to enter your account.

Items That Can’t Be Returned to Amazon

There are certain items that you can’t return to Amazon after purchasing. These range from items that are harmful to return, to digital products and cards. Additionally, devices can’t be returned after they pass the 30-day mark from the time it was delivered.

  • Anything categorized as hazardous materials
  • Flammable objects

Devices

  • Any electronics such as laptops, Kindles, or desktop computers cannot be returned 30 days after the day they’re delivered
