How to View How Many Hours You’ve Played on Fortnite

Fortnite is undoubtedly one of the most significant phenomena in gaming history. Released in 2017, it took the world by storm. In the first two weeks of its release, the Battle Royale mode had 10 million people playing it. Just a year later, the game reached 125 million players worldwide.

How to View How Many Hours You've Played on Fortnite

The success of Fortnite since its launch could be attributed to the fact that it’s free to download and play. It’s especially appealing to younger gamers who now have more powerful computers and gaming options than past generations.

Regardless of newer technology that enhances the gaming experience, the game mechanics and engaging gameplay attract the players. With its cartoonish design, Fortnite established itself as a casual, fun game, not focusing on hyper-realistic environments as a way to improve immersion.

With the game so widely accessible, chances are you’re one of the players that rode the flying bus to get to the arena. Therefore, it’s entirely possible that you’d like to find out how much time you’ve spent playing Fortnite.

Getting the Hours Played on Fortnite

The best way to check your hours played on Fortnite is through Epic’s dedicated app, “Epic Game Launcher.” The launcher provides tons of information about Epic’s games, giving you an overview of all the ones you’ve purchased. You can also buy, install, and launch Epic’s games from the app.

Note: You only see time played for games installed on the current PC.

Of course, if you’ve played Fortnite on your computer, that automatically means you already have the launcher installed. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to play the game since the only way to start it is through Epic’s launcher app.

If you’ve played the game on your friend’s computer and want to play it on yours, download Epic Game Launcher from Epic’s website. You can also access the Epic Launcher download directly.

How to See How Many Hours Played using Windows/Mac/Linux

To determine the amount of time you’ve spent enjoying Fortnite, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.
Note: Type Epic Games Launcher in the Window’s search bar to find it quickly.
  2. Click Library in the menu to the left.
  3. Find Fortnite and click the three-dot menu underneath.
  4. To the right of You’ve Played, you will see the exact amount of time you’ve played Fortnite.

Depending on how long you’ve played, Epic Games may show you days rather than hours. If you want to know how many hours that is, multiply days by 24. For example, if you played Fortnite for 12 days total, that translates to 288 hours.

Epic Lack of Game Stats

Keep in mind that Fortnite is a highly competitive multiplayer battle arena. With such a huge following, the game statistics are vital to players. Unfortunately, this feature hasn’t been exceptionally reliable since the game came out.

At some point, Epic even decided to remove the playtime counter altogether. They wanted to relieve the stress on their servers that this feature was causing. The counter eventually got restored, but Epic didn’t care much for players complaining about the lack of this feature.

Third-Party to the Rescue

As with the playtime counter, players have constantly campaigned to have the game statistics improved. With Epic not providing many advancements in this field, many third-party websites offer players exactly what they need. And, as it turned out, they kept better track of players’ in-game statistics than Epic ever did.

Websites like FortniteTracker, FortniteScout, and FortniteStats, to name but a few, offer a lot of relevant information that can easily rank all Fortnite players. This allows you to find your statistics quickly. All it takes is entering your Epic Games username on the website.

See How Many Hours You've Played on Fortnite

When you look at the standings table, you can see how many kills, wins, and game matches a player has reached. It also provides a total score for that player and performance statistics.

The total score represents how many in-game points players achieve during a match. For example, when you open an ammo box, you get 25 points. If you find a gold coin, your score goes up by 100. Victory, on the other hand, grants you a massive 2000 points. And that’s if you played solo. If you were part of a squad, you’d get double that!

Information like Kill-to-Death Ratio or Win Ratio shows how good a player is. If a user played tens of thousands of matches and has a high-performance ratio, that’s a pretty good indicator that you’re looking at an exceptional Fortnite gamer.

Whether you’re just starting with Fortnite or a seasoned player, keeping track of how much time you spend playing the game is good. If this is something that you play casually, you should keep that time at a reasonable level, not allowing it to interfere with your daily duties. But playtime must go sky-high if you want to reach a professional level!
